Ports – Christmas Island

Christmas Island, which is a small volcanic island in the Indian Ocean, has no major seaports as such. Due to its isolated position and small area, there is no or limited port infrastructure. The island is mainly used for scientific research and tourism. Occasionally ships may come to Christmas Island to supply its inhabitants and tourists, but these are not regular commercial ports in the usual sense.
