Ports – Colombia

Colombia, a geographically diverse country, is significant in world trade due to its many ports located on both the Caribbean and Pacific coasts. In this article, we will look at Colombia’s main ports, their role in the country’s economy and in international trade. Here are a few of Colombia’s major ports:

  1. Port of Cartagena: Located in the north of the country on the Caribbean coast. Cartagena is one of Colombia’s largest ports and is strategically important for trade with other Caribbean countries.
  2. Port of Barranquilla: Another important port on the Caribbean coast, Barranquilla serves both container and cargo ships and is a key trading hub for exports and imports.
