Ports – Dominican Republic

The Dominican Republic, located on the island of Haiti in the Caribbean Sea, has several important ports that play a key role in the country’s economy, trade and tourism. In this article, we will look at the main ports of the Dominican Republic, their location and functions.

  1. Port of Santo Domingo: Located in the capital city of Santo Domingo. This port serves both cargo and passenger vessels, including cruise ships. The Port of Santo Domingo is an important hub for exporting and importing goods and plays a significant role in tourism development.
